Recipe for a Nice Weekend

Whip:
1 fantasy football victory over older brother who was picked to win by ESPN.
1 matinee movie with mom. We saw “Stardust”; it was my second time, her first.
1 amusing party at Celeste’s – at one point I had to sing “I’m a little teapot…”
3 sessions of general conference (I recorded the 4th as I was watching football at Cordell’s Sunday afternoon)
5-7 rounds of frisbee golf – my dad won every round, but once I actually took second! I’m usually dead last, so this was quite an achievement for me.
12-24 hours of watching football – I’m only slightly exaggerating.

Cream together:
a pinch of rain
a dash of wind
patches of blue sky
bunches of clouds
cool temperatures
2 added blankets on the bed at night

Topping - Mix the following ingredients together:
generous amounts of candy corn, caramels, and other Halloween candy
Mom’s roast beef
Audree’s mashed potatoes
pistachio nuts – on sale!!
a slice each of chocolate pie AND chocolate cake (with chocolate frosting, of course)

Gently combine the whipped and creamed ingredients. Bake at 55-60°F for 2 days.

Top with topping.

Best if enjoyed with family and friends.

That sounds great! I'm glad you had a good weekend!

I also had a good weekend. It featured an entire day of never getting out of my pajamas!

Fun post and fun weekend. I could do without the football but your mom's roast beef sounds wonderful. Heap on lots of Audree's potatoes and I'm satisfied.

So did your mom like Stardust?

I'm thinking of trying to talk my parents into seeing it when they come down. Well, at least my mom, I may not be able to convince Dad.

BTW, did you read Stardust before seeing the movie? I really liked both the book and movie.

That sounds like a lot of football but I'm extremely excited for your win over your brother. I'll do my victory laugh for you sometime and then maybe you an use it. It's a little mean spirited but what is competition for? (:

Cardine, what day was that? Sounds nice.

Aly, thanks!

Book, I get hungry just thinking about that roast and the potatoes! Mmmm.

Mad, yes she LOVED it! We laughed and laughed and laughed. Of course, she loved Robert de Niro - he was even better the 2nd time.

Book, I didn't read the book - didn't even know it was a book!

Cassie, it was a lot of football, I even had football dreams Sunday night! I look forward to hearing your victory laugh.

I'll have to see that movie. Sounds like a great weekend. Mine consisted of Elora peeing in both hers and Joshua's beds, and of me yelling a lot. Oh, and Conference.

Leave it to you to describe your weekend so we all wish we had one just like it!! JK. What a fun time. We also enjoyed watching confrence and having dinner with my mom and Ted. Confrence is a whole new can of worms when it comes to kids and getting them to watch. But they weren't too bad. We are off to the Zoo this weekend for a Cox Family reunion, just James' mom, dad and brothers and sister. It should be fun.
