A Long Winter's Nap - I Wish!

I should be in bed. I shouldn't be blogging and watching Food Network (Throwdown with Bobby Flay). I should be tucked into bed, starting to dream - not basking in the glow of my glorious Christmas tree. Really, sleeping right now would be a good thing, better than snacking on the ham in my fridge and my roommates homemade candy (with her permission, of course).

I don't want to go to bed. I want to stay up. I don't want this weekend to end. I don't want tomorrow to be here. I'm not ready to go to work. Tomorrow I have too many things to do - I need to get ready for my upcoming work trip to Denver. I've enjoyed today's laziness - seriously putting up and decorating my tree is one of the only productive things I did today - I want another such day.

There's another reason I'm not in bed right now. For the past few weeks, I've suffered from a mild case of insomnia. Either I go to bed and can't fall asleep for a wicked long time or I go to bed, easily fall asleep, then wake up numerous times throughout the night. Either way, I wake up totally unrested and needing more sleep.

Insomnia makes me dread going to bed. I stay up as long as I can, only going to bed when I feel like I can't keep my eyes open any more. I need to start up a night hobby. Hmmm. I think there's a puzzle in my spare room that needs to be put together.

I'm going to go check.

I hope you're getting a good night's rest - sleep a few winks for me!

I'll be putting together a puzzle.

I don't want this weekend to end, either. I stay up way too late, too. Good thing we're not roommates; we'd NEVER get to sleep!

Did you get some sleep? Lindsey has been sleeping pretty good, which means I get a good night sleep. Last night she got up and 11:00 and 4:00, but I got her back to sleep pretty quick.

I hate insomnia. You want to fall asleep, but you can't. It is sooo annoying!!

I didn't know you had a room-mate. I need to talk to you more often... Who is your roomie, anyone I know?

I am sorry that you are having trouble sleeping. I don't think that I could handle not sleeping well. At least you got your tree up. Logan keeps bugging me to get ours up and decorated, I am not ready to get it out though. Maybe this weekend.

Cardine, yeah, I have no idea how you stay up so late - I'm usually dead tired by 10! You're right, if we were roommates we'd stay up talking 'til the wee hours every night! Maybe we'd throw in a little PIUE while we were at it. :)

Lori, I slept a little, but not nearly enough. I'm glad Lindsey is sleeping well so you can get enough sleep. I imagine it'd be hard to be a mom without enough sleep!

Wendy, yes I have a roommate. No one you know. I like her. I practically have two roommates since her fiance is there most of the time she is. Fortunately, I like him, too!

Melissa, like I said to Lori, I can't imagine how one could be a mom and not get enough sleep! Add the kids you tend and you'd be toast! Yeah, it's pretty nice to have the tree up - I love the glow it puts off at night, it's almost silvery because of the lights and my decorations.

Missy, I opted to not put together the puzzle after all, though I might tonight. We'll see. Too bad it's not a Christmas puzzle - I noticed a dearth of Christmas decorations as I "decorated" my condo; the stuff for my tree and three different nativity scenes. That's it. Pretty sad, eh?

Asleep by ten??? In Vernal, you never went to bed before 1 or 2. Didn't you sleep well at my house? You're just going to bed too early. :)

Framed, yes I stayed up late while in Vernal, but I was dead tired by 10pm! I just enjoyed talking and playing with everyone too much so I ignored my fatigue! :) I slept okay at your house - the bed was really comfortable - I just woke up several time each night. No fun!

I have had more than one "extra" fiance room-mates. It can be fun to have guys over at the house a lot, especially when a spider shows up.
