It's A Hard Life

So, I'm enroute to Wyoming again. I left after work today and made it to Heber before I got too tired to drive any more. It took me awhile to find a hotel in which I could stay that would have a place big enough for me to park Bertha and the Beast, but I finally found one - the Holiday Inn Express. They had two rooms available, and they were kind of pricey. I took one, though, since I could barely stand the thought of trying to find somewhere else.

I walked in and discovered I have a hot tub in my room!

I'm living the good life people. The good life.

Excuse me while I go for a soak and read New Moon a bit.

Aaahhh.

I can't believe you didn't tell me you had read Twilight. I want to hear what you think too.

That's awesome that you had a hot tub in your room! I hope you enjoyed your stay in Heber.

Also, I'm with Cassie and Cardine...are you really reading New Moon, and does that mean you've read Twilight...what's up with the secrecy?

Why didn't you tell me you were reading "New Moon" the other day?! I really love that series and can't wait to read the new one, in Aug. I also really liked her one that just came out "The Host" also really, really good!

Have a safe trip!

Oh, to sit in a hot tub and soak while reading a book. Ahhhh...my feet (which are sore from walking this walk) are very jealous of your feet. Enjoy your soak.

Sorry, I didn't realize that I had to keep people updated on which books I'm reading! :) I really resisted reading the series - too much hype - but Anthony's sister forced Twilight on me ages ago then kept asking me if I'd started it. I finally did to get her off my back. I read it in 4 hours. Monday evening Anthony brought me New Moon and I'm reading it when I get the chance. Yeah, the books hooked me. Sigh.

I LOVED the hot tub! It felt so good and relaxing. When I got out and went to bed (read for too long), my whole body was totally relaxed and happy. Sigh.

Now I'm in Guernsey staying at a "rustic" little motel with 30 rooms. It's the biggest hotel in the town - the second biggest has 11. The only other has 4. There are two restaurants and the grocery store could almost fit in my condo. (slight exaggeration) However, it's a really cute town surrounded by pretty countryside. And, there are a lot of cute military men all over town. Sigh.

It's started to rain, so I think I'm going to go for a drive. It really is pretty here.

I just looked up Guernesy on Google maps..thats quite a ways out there! I'm always curious about these little towns, because it seems they're the ones always hiring teachers. I'm trying to decide if I could stand to live somewhere remote AND small. Hmm.

Holy cow! I looked it up, too, and you really had quite the trip! That is really far away! Are you going to take a jaunt over to Nebraska just to go to Nebraska?

So after Cardine's comment I had to look up Guernsey. That is a long trip. Do you listen to audio books any of your time on the road?

About the hot tub - I'm jealous. About that particular book - I'm not, but I do realize the younger generation is enamored with the series.

Hope you have a safe, enjoyable trip.

Yes, it's quite the voyage. Partially because I'd been most of the route before, this trip was a lot more enjoyable than when I went to Cheyenne. That trip I was constantly worried about where I'd gas up next. This time I knew where, so I relaxed a lot.

Yes, Book, I did listen to a book on cd part of the way. Most of the time, though, I listened to music and pondered life. It was nice.

Cardine, no I'm not going to go to Nebraska just to go. Actually, in a few weeks I'll be in Torrington, WY which is mega close to the border and THEN I'm going to jump the state line. I've never been to Nebraska, so I'm happy.

Tearese, it's small and remote, but absolutely lovely here!
