The Big Question

Last night, Anthony asked me to marry him.

I asked him to let me think about it for a couple days.

He still wants to get married outside of the temple first.

I don't know what to do.

Hi. That is definitely a serious question and one to take your time deciding. I was going to comment further, but it was running long, so I figured I should email you instead.

WOW! Exciting and scary at the same time. I know your feelings toward him and what you want and that is a hard decision.

Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! That is serious and scares the crap out of me for you. I think you know how I feel about it after our many discussions this weekend. Wow! Crazy!

Wow, just....wow.

Exciting. Scary. Nerve-wracking. Wonderful.

Not necessarily in that order. But all mixed in.

Okay, I'm a jerk. In my defense (feable as it is), I meant to write this sooner, but got distracted.

April Fool's Day!

Really, it was going to be the first comment so you all would see it when you came to comment, but then I got an important call at work and forgot until I got some really nice emails that made me feel like a real jerk. To those two people, thanks for the emails, they were sweet and I appreciate the sentiments in them. A lot.

Don't feel bad, you weren't the only ones who got fooled.

I told my boss Anthony and I broke up last night. I figured he'd believe it more than the proposal since he knew I was mad at Anthony last week and didn't know that we'd worked things out. He kept asking why I broke up with him. I finally said, "The main reason is that it's April Fool's Day". He almost killed me.

That's not all. I texted Anthony that I got offered a job in Portland and was moving in three weeks. He wrote back that we needed to talk asap. I wrote that it would have to wait 'til tomorrow since today is April Fool's Day. He didn't catch it, so the next text I sent told him I was only joking.

Tee hee. I'm evil.

I think your sense of humor has morphed into something warped over the years. I swear I could honestly hear you going "teehee" in your little Julie evil laugh!!! Just remember about payback. Next year you better watch your back! Love ya!

Missy, I don't know what you're talking about! I've ALWAYS enjoyed playing April Fool's day jokes. I remember playing on my senior year, in fact. I'm getting nicer in my old age, though, because I usually don't let them last all day like I used to.

You're right, though, there's always payback. Good luck. I'll be waiting for you next year. :)

Just so you know, I don't wait for the next April Fool's Day to get payback.

It could happen at any time.

Madman, good to know. Thanks for the warning. I'll watch my back. I'm also pretty clueless most of the time, though, so if it's not actually April Fool's Day, you stand a pretty good chance of catching me.

However, that would be a hollow victory, since it didn't actually occur on AFD. :)

Dang it. If I had read this earlier in the day, I might have not remembered that it was April Fool's Day. Unfortunately, I realized it early enough that you were joking. I actually like getting fooled.

Good one, though.

Well I was fooled, but don't get too full of yourself. I'm amazingly gullible. And it was my one and only April Fool's Day joke. I think everyone at work is afraid of me. How can that be??

You're GOOD! I was totally taken in.

LOL! I almost wrote a warning in the post I wrote last night..."Beware of Julie and April Fool's Day", but I didn't want to ruin your fun. :D It's funny that you got Cassie...hehe!

I realized it pretty soon after commenting but yeah still pretty dumb that I was even fooled at all. Julie, Loralee pulled the job offer in another state and leaving in two weeks trick on David. Funny that you did the same thing. He actually called her right away and so she went even further with it almost to the point where he was going to start crying then she came clean. She felt bad but rejoiced in her trick as well.

Cardine, I'm sorry you weren't fooled (since you like being fooled); maybe next year!

Framed, well I'm glad you got to be a part of one AFD joke! It's just not the same otherwise. And, I don't think they could possibly be afraid of you - maybe they just were really busy???

Book, tee hee.

Aly, thanks for not warning everyone. I almost wrote you and Cassie to ask you to play along with me. Now I'm glad I didn't since I temporarily fooled her. tee hee.

Cassie, that IS funny that she played the same prank on David that I did on Anthony! Great minds think alike, I guess. I understand how she feels. I feel a little guilty fooling people, but I also think it's funny. :)

Do you want to get married to him? that is the real question. Once you know the answer to that, then you can think about the rest.

you dork! I just started reading the comments. I hate you!

Framed said...

So glad I checked in to read your comments. Tearese really cracked me up.

julie said...

Sorry Tearese!! I didn't mean to prank you AFTER April Fools Day! :)

Framed, yeah, I laughed too. :)

Ok funny story,
but I actually knew this was a joke,
(a mutual friend told me)
and then when I read it,
I still fell hard.
Now I'm just laughing like crazy.
which is probably what I needed.
thanks
