When I Grow Up...

...I'll have naturally curly hair.

...I won't be afraid of the dark.

...my eyes will change to brown whenever I want them to.

...I'll learn how to french braid.

...I'll stop mentally sticking my tongue out at people when they make me mad.

...I'll grow out my bangs.

...I'll be thin.

...I'll work all day instead of blogging at 2:30pm.

...I'll buy a house with a yard.

...I'll stop eating sugary cereals, this includes not adding sugar to nonsugary cereals (Grape Nuts, etc.).

...I'll wake up before 7:30 A.M.

...I'll learn how to make bread, bake cookies, and not burn fudge.

...I won't sleep with a giant teddy bear (sorry, Norman!).

...I'll never skip church to watch football.

...I'll read more than the comics in the Sunday newspaper.

...I'll actually get the Sunday newspaper (and all the other days').

...I'll watch CSPAN occassionally (even though I may fall asleep while watching it).

...I'll get my tattoo removed.

...I'll clean my bathroom more often.

...I won't care that I'm wearing gold earrings with a silver bracelet.

...I'll wink at myself in the mirror every morning.

...I'll have someone else to wink at every morning.

...I'll dance in the rain, catch snowflakes on my tongue, and pick wildflowers to give my mom.

...I'll actually cook the turkey for Thanksgiving...

...and make pies from scratch.

...I'll have Poker Night once a month - just for fun, no money will change hands.

...I'll finally beat my family at Frisbee Golf.

...I'll have a dog.

...I'll retire and spend winters in the south of France and summers in Sweden. Spring in Japan/Washington DC/anywhere with cherry blossoms and/or lots of tulips. Fall in New England.

I'm kind of hoping that Cassie or Framed will post about the cruise before me. Then I'll just refer everyone to their blog! Teehee.

Just kidding. Really, tonight I'm hoping to download my pics, so a cruise post should be coming in the next couple of days. :)

I loved this post. There are so many things that I'll do when I grow up, too. I liked the picking wildflowers one. Yay!

OK, I can agree on all the wonderful things you want to do when you grow up, but you have THE most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen! So, PLEASE do not talk about them EVER changing to brown! Do I make myself quite clear, Julie Beth?!

Ahh, what lovely dreams. I hope they come true!

When I grow up. . . makes me wonder what I'd write. One thing would be a place without a lawn. I just got a perm that is way too curly (I mean, it is hilarious - so funny it makes me cry) so I'd wish for hair with body and slight curl.

And yes, when I grow up I'd like to be slim and trim and healthy. Oh, and perky breasts, please.

You always come up with such cute posts. It was fun to read your list.

Cardine, what are some of the things you'd like to do when you grow up?

Missy, thank you!!! I get a lot of nice comments about my eyes, which makes me happy. However, sometimes I think it'd be fun to mix it up a bit. When I have redder hair, I would like green eyes.

Tearese, thanks, me, too. Mostly. I'm not sure I really want to give sugary cereal. :)

I love this idea! Makes me think about what I would love to do! This may be something for a later post. Thanks! Hope you are able to do some of those things, when you grow up!:)

I agree with Melissa. I may do a similar post --- when I grow up. I had to laugh reading this as I ate my sugar-coated Grape Nuts.

Julie I like it.

the thought of someone mentally sticking their tongue out is funny. I put sugar on Grape nuts.

And I may be able to help with the fudge.

Part with link = really funny.
thanks for writing.
this was a fun blog.

Book, I love not having a lawn, but someday, if I ever have a family, I want grass for my kids to play on and for my husband to mow. "Perky breasts" - you kill me! Thanks for the giggle!

Melissa, I'd be interested in your list. I hope I can do some of them, too!

Framed, same - I think I'd really get a kick out of your list if you made one. I can't even imagine eating Grape Nuts without sugar!!!

Warnser, thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I'd love to let you show me how to not burn fudge sometime. I'm glad you commented on that certain part with the link. I confess, it made me giggle to put it in. I like it when I make myself giggle. :)

Fun post!

I think I need to wink at myself more often. I take myself way too seriously.

And the turkey thing... I am now marking that as the official day I will be a grown-up... when I actually cook the turkey.

I loved the item with the link as well. It almost casts a little doubt back on the matter, wouldn't you agree?

Sarah, it's totally true, cooking the turkey for Thanksgiving = grown up. It just does. I can't even imagine doing it, and I have a fairly healthy imagination!

I'm still working on remembering to wink at myself. Usually I avoid looking in the mirror until I'm out of the shower - I'm an...ahem...interesting sight when I get out of bed. :)

Does it cast some doubt on the matter??? Hmmm. Interesting.

You're going to learn to wink?

Funny, Madman, funny.

I thought so. I guess I could be wrong...

You could be wrong, but in this case you aren't - I chuckled.
